Every human being loves to look good and feel beautiful at all ages; clean, healthy and well-nourished skin can play a major role towards achieving this goal. Your skin, in particular your facial skin, is exposed continuously to a countless variety of internal as well as external factors that negatively affect your appearance.

Our skin is very important. It covers and protects everything inside your body. Our skin holds everything together. It also protects our bodies helps keep our bodies at just the right temperature and allows us to have the sense of touch.

Some people believe that aging starts at birth. From day to day we add on more age, and from that point, we continue the Ageing, also called aging process of becoming older. So we know, aging is a long-term process.

It is in fact true; that aging is simply the result of deterioration caused by wear and tear, oxidation, other molecular damage, or other unavoidable natural process that causes gradual degradation. Aging could be the result of the accumulation of toxic byproducts, damage due to nuclear radiation, entropy.

The layer on the outside is called the epidermis (say: eh-pih-DUR-mis). The epidermis is the part of your skin you can see and it is impacted by environmental stressors. Internal aging is a biological process. We can clearly see that malnutrition is very impactful to the skin, a lack of an improper balanced diet causes unhealthy skin.

At the bottom of the epidermis, new skin cells are forming. When the cells are ready, they start moving toward the top of your epidermis. This trip takes about 2 weeks to a month. As newer cells continue to move up, older cells near the top die and rise to the surface of your skin. What you see are really dead skin cells. Sometimes they are not slugged off easily, that is why we incorporated facial scrubs to help remove the dead skin cells.

With new skin cells your skin is requiring your constant attention for protecting you. Your skin keeps infections out of your body and keeps you from getting sick. When you take care of your skin, you are helping your skin do its job. And taking care of your skin today will help prevent future problems, like wrinkles and even skin cancer.

Your face needs attention, it is constantly bombarded as it is exposed to the environment. Unlike the skin under your clothes that is protecting you.

When you enter puberty the skin on your face gets oilier. It’s a good idea to wash your face once or twice daily with warm water with a mild cleanser for oily skin, and when choosing a moisturizer, select one without a lot of grease, colors or perfumes.

If you have dry, flaky, or itchy skin, you use a cream cleanser, and when choosing a moisturizer, select one that hydrates, nourishes and protect your skin.

If you are worried about pimples, look for a moisturizer that is non comedogenic (say: non-kom-uh-doe-JEN-ik), which means it won’t clog the pores and cause more pimples. With pimples, you might think that scrubbing your face is the way to get rid of them. But actually, your skin will be less likely to break out if you clean it gently, using your fingertips, not a rough washcloth. Hormones also play a big role in greasy and pimpled skin.

Screening Your Skin from Damage
This one product that everyone needs: sunscreen. Even if your skin is naturally dark, you still need to use a sunscreen. Protecting your skin from the sun prevents sunburn, which hurts and is a kind of skin damage. Sunscreen also can help prevent wrinkles when you get older and can decrease the risk of skin cancer, which is caused by exposure to the sun’s harmful rays. Choose a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 25, or 30 and apply it evenly. Try not to miss any spots, such as your neck, chest, or the middle of your back. Get help for the hard-to-reach places on your face and body. Follow the directions on the sunscreen, which often recommend reapplying it, especially after swimming or sweating.

Sunscreen cannot protect your skin completely from the sun, it’s also a good idea to wear a brimmed hat and use a lip balm and balms containing sunscreen. If you need more protection from the sun, wear long sleeves and pants. Also, avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
